well into the close down
We are now well into planning for closing. We have a few compliance and regulatory issues to solve but the energy is back and the focus on the job. It has been a tough couple of weeks psychologically with the disappointment of the decision but I think we’re all back on the job now.
Spring is also in full force and plenty of things are starting to happen. The parks are pretty full and the flora has all new leaves and blossoms so its very energetic - as you can see above.
We went out of the city on Sunday for a visit to Dasha’s Mum’s cousin. Iryna and her husband Sergey (1981 Olympic swimming champion) are building a massive house in the countryside. It was definitely huge, but Iryna had also done a great job on the garden - the first one I had really seen here as its not common to have this in private homes. They have plenty of space so its nice. We had a great breakfast out there and will definitely be back for a BBQ one day!
On the way back we checked out the botantical gardens - too early for the lilac but some amazing tulip gardens in full bloom. This is renowned in Kiev so check out the pics - very natural so a little different to a western botanical... but great nonetheless.
My toes are almost back manageable now - I am pretty good with the bandages and tape though but it has been hard. Never again!
The other thing keeping me occupied is Liverpool. Its great that they are finally in the running for the Premiership - lets hope it keeps up! Man U are still favourites but we can still catch up. The Super 14 has been disappointing this year though - maybe I am turning to football now.. mmmm - not.
